ABOUT US... All Things Texas is located in the heart of West Texas where oil is king and wind energy is a close second. A can-do spirit pervades the land where generations have scratched out a living in ranching and oil related businesses. Iraan, Texas was created when oil was discovered in the Yates Field in 1927. At one time, the Yates Field was the largest oil field in the world. The field is still active, producing gas and approximately 20,000 barrels of oil a day. Historically, Iraan has been a company town with Marathon Oil Company producing the Yates Field. In 2004, the field was sold, and Kinder-Morgan is the current producer. Even though Iraan has been known for its oil, wind energy has enhanced the financial base of the area. A wind farm of 174 turbines is now located 10 miles west of town. Iraan is a small town with big energy. It is through this venue that big ideas have made West Texas great. All Things Texas was just a "concept" that has now become another grand West Texas enterprise. It is founded on customer service, reliability and hard work --concepts that West Texans hold dear.
